well, a lot has changed in the last few months. and very little at the same time. :)
i had a wonderful time over the holidays with family, friends, and a few trips. and now i am finally getting back down to the business of being a grownup.
i came to pasadena last thursday with plans to find an apartment and job. today i found an apartment. i'm still working on the job.
going into the apartment hunt my goal was to find something :
1. affordable (not easy at all in pasadena)
2. walking distance to all old town attractions (making #1 even more difficult)
3. in a safe neighborhood
4. a studio (not a one bedroom)
5. cute (no ugly)
(i also wanted to be somewhat near brent and danielle, number 2 should have taken care of that fairly well.)
i was able to find an apartment with all of these things, plus it's less than a block from brent and danielle! and while it's an old building and the studio is smaller than what i would have liked, the price and location are perfect and i am confident i can decorate it into something grand!
now this apartment decision was made very quickly and i'm kind of freaking out about it all, but i really do think it's the right one. it just happened so fast. and i kind of can't remember what it looked like. and i think i'll feel a lot better once i have a job to pay for the apartment. but i think it's gonna be good.
dear Lord, please let everything work out very well with this apartment. also, please open the right doors for me as far as a job here. and help me to trust you completely during this transition time. i love you. -kate
